Hi, this is my first post. I have a three year old gape vine in my backyard. This year it is full of blossom with almost everywhere on the vines. However, I started seeing several insects particularly attached to the growing buds-very small black insects. Also I have black ants going around the vines. Is there I can do anything to prevent this?
the small black ones sound like Grapevine flea beetles. See: http://sci.agr.ca/stjean/publication/web/pest-ravageur_e.htm The ants are not likely to be a problem. Ralph
