    Hello All,

I write this email to ask a question on behalf of my father - an avid gardener. He is wondering what kinds of roots would be best for grafting fruit trees, specifically plum, pear and peach. His trees are getting old and he'd like to keep/replace them if possible. He lives in Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) - not sure if that makes a difference to the kind of roots that might be best. Feel free to email me if you like (I think my email is available from my profile). Thanks in advance. cbgarden (Melissa and Lloyd)

If you purchase a fruit tree at a nursery it will likely be on a dwarfing or semi-dwarfing rootstock, these should be fine to graft to which will leave you with a multiple variety tree.
