I have a 12' Golden Elder that is quite beautiful. It regularly has shoots that I would like to cut off and transplant to another location. Is this possible? If so, any specific directions on how to make this successful?

Sambucus are very easy to propagate from cuttings, but if you have rooted shoots that you can detach from the bottom of the plant that should work too. Doing either at midsummer is tricky, as cool shade is the best place for new roots to develop or prosper. I think I would pot up the new shoots and only plant in their new location once established.
