There is a brown section on my seedling the branches around it turned brown first the the main trunk. Is it dying what should I do it's the only one I have and stays on the porch in 5 gallon bucket rocks at the bottom to help with drainage. I am 8n subtropical area of the country. Could it be diseased? See picture.
Does the bucket have drainage holes at the bottom? Even so, you may be impeding the drainage with the rocks at the bottom (see "The Myth of Drainage Material in Container Plantings": https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/403/2015/03/container-drainage.pdf )
Yes I do have rocks at the bottom and drainage holes the rocks are river rocks so quarter size and a little bigger and smooth. There are about 6 of those holes all around the bottom of the bucket.
