Identification: Giant Puffball

    Just found this nearby my house on the leafy floor of a freshly rained on wood. Interior has a farmers cheese consistency and very mild, barely present taste with a very mushroomy aroma.

    Hard to get an exact key because I don't have the mature specimen to compare to, but am I correct in saying that this is safe for a small taste test.

    about 4 inch diameter. There was on other one similar sized about 8 feet away.
