    Hi there,

This is my first post, so if it's in the wrong place, please let me know :-)

We've been eating a lot of cherries lately, and I wondered how exactly one goes about germinating the pits? I'm not expecting a world class tree here (or even one that bears fruit - or even a tree at all for that matter), it's more of an experimental thing. I have a vague idea that I'm supposed to dry them and refrigerate them - am I mad?
