Hello! i have a lot of fresh chicken manure. what would be the simplest and quickest and easiest way to use it in my garden? (during the winter months i added the fresh stuff to the garden, but there was more open beds and less plants at that time...) can i dig chicken manure into the beds around my plants when it is fresh? what about fresh manure mixed with hay (straight from the coop)? it is about time to do a big coop clean-up! Thanks for your thoughts! ~erin ps: hope its OK that i posted a non-botanical picture :) unsure of the policy on that... you can feel free to remove if needed.
Put it in the compost heap - it will help the compost rot down faster, and composting it will also help convert it to a form more usable by plants. Concentrated fresh manure can harm plants.
