Hi, I have had a big clump of black bamboo for about 14 years. Every summer there is a lovely light fragrance around it (I just noticed it again). There are no flowers near it, but perhaps it is something else.. I google fragrant black bamboo and get nothing.. Ideas? Thanks, Jane PS: thanks for the suggestion a while back about elder for a shady spot..I put in a "Sutherland Gold" and it is gorgeous.
