http://wahco.notlong.com 22 October 2007 The escapade rose is still in bloom at this late date. We were a little remiss in dead-heading, or it would have more blossoms. The plants has been in the garden three years. It has over-wintered twice.

I received my new camera Nikon D80 Digital SLR so am practicing.

This Escapade Rose blooms profusely all summer. The vegetation is very prickly. The rose withstands rough conditions. This one suffered from damage due to a warm winter, and an attack in the spring of some insect that attacked the flowering buds. During heavy rainfalls the rose roots are in water for several hours. It always manages to survive and thrive. The winter kill of 2006/2007 made it necessary to cut back severely or it would be a larger clump. It certainly is a welcome addition to the garden.

    This is the 2006 effort.
