    Hello all,

Interested in some advice for this plant:

#4 Mother was wondering why the merry golds haven't bloomed yet. There seems to be a pod on this one plant but I don't know if it is seed or flower. Is it too hot? First year and no blooms (*grown from seed)? Interested to find out; Was wondering if pruning them would encourage bushier growth and blooms (they are kind of falling over, too tall and heavy). Also, they were grown in a greenhouse and transplanted.

Your marigolds look like they are in a lot of shade, perhaps that is your problem.

Even the ones outside haven't bloomed yet. :(
They get full morning and mid-day sun but eventually when the sun goes into afternoon/evening the house shades the outside ones too.
The ones in the greenhouse have l.e.d grow-lights above them now as well, still don't know if the pod is a seed or flower.
Last I checked this one was the only one that had it (which is why I took a pic of this one, guess I could do them all! I will in the morning!).
    Thanks for your response!

Turns out that pod was the first flower! It finally bloomed (and out of all of them I believe this is the only one that has so far).
Guess they take a while longer from seed? First year, late blooms?

    Over fertilized may be?

Very possible, some of the different plants have some tip burn so that could be it.
