Can someone tell me what is in my garden. They seem to have come from the black licorice mulch myself and the neighbors used this year. They look like halloween fingers! White on the bottom and grow up like a finger, turning dark orange, with black on the tip. They shrivel up and pop back out again. About 4 to 6 in high. I havent touched them but my neighbor said they have almost a seedlike base under the mulch. Strange things.... are they harmful to anything?
