    Hello!

I have a couple fruit trees and berry shrubs in large pots. These pots also have a variety of groundcover plants growing in them. Does anyone have a recommendation for how to apply fertilizer for the purpose of supporting the trees/shrubs? I can't just add to the top of the soil as the groundcover plants are mostly in the way. To date I've either been watering fertilizer into the pots or lifting up the mats of groundcover and applying fertilizer underneath them where possible.

I only use non-synthetic fertilizers so looking for aligned recommendations.

    Thanks!
