Can anyone suggest a fast growing tree and/or bush that establishes itself fairly well and can tolerate shade and/or sun in moderation? We are wanting to create some more privacy in our backyard without having it be dominated by a bush or tree. Ideally, should not reach more than 4 " feet and 10-15 feet high. Thanks

I would go visit a local garden centre and get an ornamental shrub trained 'on standard' (to resemble a small tree). That way you'll get something suited to your local climate, and the size and shape you're looking for. There are typically lots of choices.
