All three images of 2 clumps of beautiful bright orange mushroom....in a mostly Elm/Oak/Maple wood forest.....in Kansas. Does not have an odor nor does it 'bleed'....if u rub u'r finger on it it turns orange.......longest stem was almost 7inches and thicker then a half dollar around. Largest cap was 3 1/2 inches.....
i had hoped it was? but it has no odor nor does it glow? ~sigh~ i found 2 more large bunches of them in the same woods.......on non conifer trees........
'Large bunches' indicates Omphalotus. Put fresh specimens in a baggy. Go into a dark room for 10 minutes to let your eyes adjust and then see if you can detect a 'glow' from them.
