My fairy castle cactus bloomed this summer and I have not been able to find pictures of another blossom or knowledge of any. I got a cutting of the cactus about 3 years ago in Arizona, have kept it in my E Washington home, outside in summer (shaded) and inside in winter while we are away, and it gets watered approx 1 time a month in the winter in cool dry conditions.

Thank you so much for your information! It is so helpful. So, help me understand, is this plant related to the "fairy castle cactus" or something totally different? They seem so much the same.

Very different, not even the same family. Stapelia do not have spines, btw.
(Sorry for my late reply, but I thought the thread looked incomplete ...)
