Even under distress they look pretty

    These are pics of a red seedling, planted in the ground in heavy shade, that has suffered, like many others, water stress since it has not rained in my garden for more than a month.
    The tips have all dried up and have curled in very elegant and symmetrical way.
    Just for fun.

    Interesting pics, the rhodo looks fine. Dry here, also. Going into fall colour now, night temperatures are cooling off.

    Lucen mejor que los míos a principios de verano, aunque ahora ya reemplazaron todas sus hojas. (they look better than my JMs in early summer, however they already replaced all their leaves).
