Hi I will like to buy this Euc Pauciflora species in Vancouver/ Fraser Valley. Any idea where I could try? I have called several nurseries in the Langley area to no avail.
As garden plants the different E. pauciflora subspecies are generally pretty similar to one another. If you have been given the impression you will acquire a specific standout attribute by scouring the planet for this particular one, that may not be the case. Another E. pauciflora might serve just as well - or better. To overcome the hardiness problem plant several specimens, gotten in as small a size as you can find and plant them out in spring. Hopefully over the years you will then end up with at least one long-persisting hardier individual. If most of them lingered for years and you didn't want them all you could always remove the extras at some point, them all having been bought in the least expensive sizes you could find. Do not buy a single specimen in a multiple gallon sized pot and attempt to succeed with all your eggs in one more pricey basket.
