    Used to be highly visible one against west end of a white house just east of highway, near Peace Arch Park. Made quite a contrast at flowering time. Died in 1990 winter, as did a quite tall one on property near Glades Rhododendron Garden (according to Glades Garden owners).

    Another, in Wauna, WA, was 51' (17m) high in 1992.
