I am risking total embarrassment...but here goes...I bought my dream magnolia tree. I had it delivered and even hired someone to plant it for me. I had been out and when I came home, he had planted the tree for me, only it was still in the giant, green, plastic tub it came in. Here comes the embarrassing part...it's not supposed to stay in that tub, is it? It isn't biogradable. I know zip, zero, nothing about a magnolia tree (or any other plant, tree, or shrub for that matter). Please take pity on me and answer without laughing at me so hard you roll around on the ground. Thanks, ME
the plastic container should have been removed before the tree was planted. i'd have the person/company come back and do it correctly! (at no extra charge, either! )
Insertion of pot into ground indicates just about zero knowledge of tree planting. Unless they thought that was what you had asked for, rather than planting.
