I have 100 yr old oak ( not sure what kind, very large, leaves fall every winter ). This year the leaves turned brown in June. The branches are starting to sag, some almost touching the ground where before they were 8 feet up. Over the past three years during windy winter storms, we have lost several large limbs. The base of the tree looks to be rotting on one side. We had no oak worms at all this spring where we usually have thousands. Any thoughts? Thanks
Nobody here can say what, exactly is afflicting it but it is certainly clear that the parts of the tree described are now dead.
