I am in need of information regarding the effect of street pavement being constructed within the drip line of the above. We have a local developer (Speculator) who wants to install a roadway within 15' of several 50' Douglas Firs. I need to go before the City Council and local Planning Commission to protest this project, but need some scientific evidence to support my case. Any support is deeply appreciated.

The subject area is "cuts and fills." Maybe start with International Society of Arboriculture web site.

consider hiring a consulting arborist to do an assessment. The prospective builder should have to do this in order to get a development permit I would think.
