doubledecker echinacea... not doubled!!

hi, i purchased a doubledecker echinacea from a local nursery, it was a small plant when i bought it, and now it is blooming, and it doesnt have the double appearance it should look like, it looks just like a normal echinacea, will it eventually bloom doubles next year?

 

I've heard that these don't aquire their double appearance until the second year. I had the same thing happen to me last year.
