I wanted to submit a photo of my double pink poppy. This year it has grown to 4 feet with at least 40 buds on it. It is just amazing!
You might be interested to note that these are actually several individual opium poppy seedlings growing as a group: let at least one go to seed and shake the seed-head to distribute seeds for next season (these are annuals), and you'll enjoy them again next year....Just be careful where you spread the seeds, as these are prolific and will readily germinate wherever they are broadcast.
You can get them in nearly black also, as well as white-and-red - multiple different strains have been sold.
