Hello again, I have recently planted a Dorsett Gold apple tree a couple months ago, just one because I read they were self fruitful. When I brought it home it had a couple a small apples on it which eventually fell off. I live in south Texas and this variety was shown to be ok for this area, still I don't see many apple trees around here, so I don't have any healthy trees to compare to. It has bloomed once since planted but they quickly dried up, I have had a thinning of leaves, but still making new growth, also some of the leaves are curling a little bit. I have hopefully enclosed some pictures, hopefully successfully of the leaves and tree. also the edges and of some leaves have some damage. any help advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Cecil.
I'm thinking maybe some thing to do with the heat there..it looks like the English apples do in August.
Thanks Oscar, hopefully it will get better if it's just the heat. We will just have to wait and see. Cecil.
