Now that I know what orchid I have, I would like to know when to divide it. Before blooming? Is it okay during blooming? Best after? I would like to try leaving one or two plants in my garden. The rest of the plant comes in for the winter. It has a sheltered site and was wondering if it could survive outside. We do get frost and sometimes snow here (North of Dallas - Denton, TX). So basically my question is: what's the best time to divide. It gets 70 degree F early in April, maybe wait til then. Even if all of you say not to leave it out at all. I need to know when to divide. It's quiet crowded in the pot. Thanks
