My Acer Maple is losing leaves rapidly despite being watered. The bark seems to have a patchy spots on it. Is this a fungal problem? Is there something else affecting the tree?
Looks like a lichen on the bark......the loss of leaves is another matter since lichens will not affect the health of the tree or cause leaf drop. I suspect a leaf fungus is more likely or an issue with the root system. Ian
