I had a desert rose given to me and it was healthy but leggy. I'm in Florida and we recently had below 30° weather. A lot of my plants were damaged and the desert rose was one of them. The branches were very soft and I researched that I should cut back the branches that were soft. Should I cut back all of the branches that are soft even though there is green underneath when I scratch it? Edited: P.s. I also repotted the entire plant to make sure it wasn't rot.
Welcome to the Forums. I've not grown this plant before but it seems like the perfect opportunity to address the legginess by pruning the stems back hard, close to the caudex, whether they're cold damaged or not. It's good timing since the plant is currently dormant. References: How to Prune Adenium Obesum (Desert Rose) Can Desert Roses Recover From Frost?
