We have deer fencing that the deer are not respecting, so we are currently changing the fence to something higher.

    Here is my question:

Recently 1 rogue deer did a lot of damage to my new baby fruit trees. In a few cases the deer plucked every new leaf off of the tree. Can a new tree survive having no leaves this time of year until new ones sprout? Or is this something that could kill the tree?

    Thanks

I had similar damage two years ago, this year, behind fencing, the tree is covered with apples and doing very well.

They love rose family trees such as flowering cherries and orchard fruits, nothing rogue at all about those being zeroed in on! As mentioned trees expected to come back if deer excluded.
