Decaisnea insignis very blue this year

    The fruit of the Decaisnea insignis is ripe. This lovely contrast of blue on yellow greeted me today.

    I have practically the same photo from last week, same cluster I think. Good thing I was so slow to post mine or you wouldn't have posted this, which is at least a little better than mine, maybe more than a little.
    Or here, I'll post one from a different tree hanging across Upper Asian Way - not as blue at the time, or maybe not going to be, but I found the grey creepier looking. Leaves not yellowed up at all.

    So my images from many years ago that always seemed too blue may actually be close to accurate... in some years. Thanks!
