I know that Dreceana Darco, and Marginata can be succesfully rooted in water ( stem cuttings), but what about the janet craig?

Yeah, it will root that way.

I personally prefer to root in soil or other media than water. The root tissue is different on anything rooted in water, and the plant you are trying to propagate will have to expend more energy in replacing those roots once you transplant it to soil. If you are doing it just for looks, or for fun, it's fine.

I have 2 janet craig.... their about 7 feet tall, but the tops are lookin really spindily and stunted. The furnace died fer a night last winter, so the house went pretty damn cold. So im not sure if the cold messed them up, or their in too small of pots.. or its time to be chopped...
