I’m getting bored with the Florida landscaping here everything seems to look cookie cutterish I would like to grow a more traditional type garden I picked up some Dahlias (tubers) that I’m going to plant in containers first and then later transfer to the garden if they do well. Just wondering if there are any other fellow Floridians who have tried these and what was your outcome?

Also I am open to suggestions of what else to try I’m aiming to build a garden with lots of color that lasts all year round not just in the spring or fall I’m taking my time and trying to be as careful as I can in what I select to plant so I don’t waste my time and money. My yard gets full sun with some shade in areas but more sun then shade.

    Thanks for any help..:)
