Hi...I have two crabapple trees that have been in my front yard for several years. I just love the flowers when they bloom but really hate the mess the crabapples make. A very long time ago, I read in a library book, that there is something you can put on a crabapple tree to keep it flowering and it will decrease the production of the crabapples. Would anyone happen to know how to do this? or what I could possible use to produce a similar effect? Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Alternatively, harvest the crabapples and make some jam or jelly . . . delicious!
