Identification: Could someone find me the name of this plant?

    What is this? Is this normal the syrup it makes? Does it grow big? Thanks

    The sap/syrup is normal, but will discolor/stain the plant. It probably will not get much larger than what you have in the photo. I will have occasional stalks over a meter tall. Mine flowered this Spring (first time in 4 years). Beautiful flower stalk, extremely fragrant, almost sickening sweet. My wife made me cut it off because the smell was so strong in our bedroom it gave her a headache.

    Sansevieria cylindrica.

    It won't get much bigger but will produce more leaves with time.

    The sap won't discolor or stain the plant but it may attract dust. It should be removed with a damp cloth. The leaf may have been damaged in some way to exude the sap.
