Identification: could anyone please help identify this fungi?

Do you have a shot of the underside of the cap? That is an important feature in mushroom identification in general.
There are a number of different kinds of bracket fungi that can look similar on the topside, but underneath there are different textures and colours.
Also, knowing if this is hardwood or conifer would can be helpful in some cases.
