Cornus mas flowers were new to me, though I've recognized the fruits for a few years now. It looked nice and cheerful on what was a very grey, cold, rainy day.

This is not a Cunninghamia lanceolata any more, though the tag is still there. Does it have a story?

There was lots of work going on.

The Cunninghamia will sprout from the stump, it is one of the few conifers that coppices reliably.

The Cunninghamia had quite a few brown branches. It should resprout and cuttings were also taken. It used to be such a beautiful tree. If you caught it in the right light, it had a magical blue glow.
