Hello all, I have two corn plants. One I’ve had for seven years and never had any problems with. Then I moved it away from the window it was next to and eventually it started growing crooked, leaving toward the window. So I rotated it. Then it started turning brown and dropping, so I moved it to an area in front of another window. Two of the stalks feel hollow. Can I save it, and if so, how? It has sentimental value to me (was my first companion in a new apartment in a new town) so I really want to save it. The second plant I inherited. It was at the school where I teach the last two summers all by itself and survived with little air conditioning and no watering. I watered it maybe once last school year. This year I decided to re-pot it and move it to a different part of the room. The leaves just started turning brown and falling off. The stalk is still solid, there is just no green growth. Can I do anything for it? Thanks to anyone who can help!
You already know what you did wrong, your description says it all. Put it all back to square one that you did for seven years. Whether they live or die depends upon on luck at this point.
