Identification: Conifer at RBG Melbourne

    Is anyone able to get to genus or even family? No fruits on the tree yet. the close-ups of the upper and under leaves is 6X. Thank you.

    I wonder if it may be Juniperus cedrus, from the Canary Islands.

    J. cedrus seems like a very good match. Davallia, does it look right to you?

    Agree Juniperus cedrus is the most likely; if not that, then one of its close allies like J. brevifolia, J. oxycedrus or J. formosana.

    Thanks folks - I'll ask around ask RBG and see if they have one planted that's not on the list.

    Juniperus formosana is on the list and maps out to the right spot. Thank you everyone!
