I have these as a hedge around my garden. When I trim them, lots of clippings fall on the ground, but unfortunately I don't have the space to use all of them to prepare a compost.

If I simply push them at the bottom of each cypress tree, they won't be visible, so bad appereance won't be an issue. Could such clippings near tree trunks contribute to diseases or on the contrary, would they make a good natural fertilizer or at least mulch? It seems such a waste to get rid of all of them.

Just throw them there, as a mulch, without bothering to push them into the soil.
