I have a climbing hydrangea that is being attacked by bugs I cannot seem to catch sight of. The leaves are being eaten all around around the edges. I introduced ladybugs in the spring; they promptly ate all the aphids on my other garden plants & departed. I've also tried insecticidal soap (Green Earth) and a dosing of white oil emulsion - neither seems to have helped.

Anyone have an idea of what I may be battling and how to get rid of it?

Thanks from both myself & my hydrangea,

    Wendy

Could be vine weevil, nocturnal feeders, hiding in leaf litter during the day.

Thanks! Any ideas of how to combat the critters? A google turned up suggestions of nematodes, but it may be a bit late for that. Any other suggestions?
