I just saw this plant in someone's backyard(her's is 5 years old)Is this a bulb plant or can you cut a clipping and root it?(she couldn't tell me )thanks
Cher--most clematis are propagated by cuttings. (A few species can be done from seed, none have bulbs that I know of). Cuttings can be started around now, but aren't the easiest. I think the clematis society site has quite a good summary of the method... http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/terrace/pk91/questoc.htm
