i recently got the opportunity to get some fresh palm seeds. I am not sure if they are ripe, but i am willing to try and grow them. I have chamedorea erumptens, caryota mitis, and also some bright red coffe fruits and as well as some very small croton seeds. Any info on if i have to clean them, or dry then etc would be great.

    Thanks guys

    Hi There

I just ate dates in my garden one day and put the seeds onto a flowerpot which was growing something else at the time. I did not clean them. To my astonishement I had 100% germination! Now I have about 30 date palms at various hights depending on the size of the pots they are growing in.

I wonder if the palms you have got will be the same?

I have written about them on here if you care to look at my postings.

    Regards Mike Anders
