Has anyone out there grown Cinnamon from seed? Links and advice welcome.
And, yes, it'll be indoors. This is the Yukon after all.
    Thanks

I germinated some Cinnamomum camphora this Spring. It was easy and fairly quick to germinate. I had one as a house plant before. I like the waxy, fragrant leaves. I have two plants doing well and lots of seeds left.

It should be possible to get that last one to sprout fairly easily, as it is a noxious weed in part of the US.

Received the seeds today. What did you use for propagating/growing? Soil or paper? Sun or no sun? Heat or room temp? Hope it becomes a weed in my house!
    Cheers

Not sure if cinnamon has different requirements than camphor, but I am sure I started my seed in sterile medium at warm room temperature. Seeds were the size of small peas.

Thanks folks. I'm sterilizing some "seed starter mix" in the BBQ. Will water initially with cool boiled water, cover and keep it away from the GD@#$%^ fungus gnats. I'll let you know how it went.
    Cheers and thanks again
