Howdy Eric, I'm afraid it is not only China's demand for wood that is going to have a hugh and perhaps negative impact on the world but her demands for everything that we are enjoying now. As a country with vast open land and natural resource, we should be planning to tap into this hugh market while at the same time help to lessen the effects these demands will have on the rest of the world. Do you think our political masters are far sighted enough to stimulate our growth? Peace Thean
Hey Thean, Let's hope we and our leaders are willing to tackle the tough issues that come along as China and people all over the planet raise their standard of living and seek out things that are common in the more developed countries. We certainly can't blame them for wanting the type of conveniences we have. If we don't proceed with careful growth in the developing countries and more efficient and sustainable use of resources in the already developed countries, we may not proceed for long. That's the trouble with a global economy isn't it; decisions can have global impact. We have to share the planet.
