Howdy -- I''d like to grow as many cherries as possible in a small area and am considering espalier-ing or oblique cordoning some dwarf cherry trees. (I'm already oblique cordoning some dwarf apples -- ie trained a single trunk at a 45 degree angle.) I'm having trouble finding info on espalier-ing cherries. Can they be oblique cordoned like the apples? Or is there a better way? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thanks kindly, Dorothy
Probably better trained as a fan. Even very dwarfing rootstocks for cherries still give a somewhat vigorous tree that need a bit of room.
