I have a cherry tree. Not sure what kind but it does not droop and has small white flowers in the spring only. Once they fall then the green leaves start. The cherries are about the size of a nickel when ready to eat. It is at least 20 yrs old and is about 50ft high.
I just noticed something wrong with the tree. Did not see this last year. There is black spots all over the leaves. Some areas the black spots is almost like a nest. Some leave, particularly the smaller ones are dying and getting yellow. There are even some black spots on the green cherries.
Anyone know what kind of tree this is?
Anyone know what is wrong with the tree and how to cure?
Can we still eat the cherries this summer?
    Please help.
