Our cherry tree is about 15 years old and although it does not give fruit ( as it is not the proper climate here in Israel) we enjoy its beautiful leaves in the fall and the lovely cherry blossoms in the spring and the shade in the summer. This summer it is oozing sap all over- even on the higher branches it is simply dripping and dripping. One branch is actually dead and we have pruned it. I have enclosed some pictures. Can you help us ???
Probably the most frequently asked question on the Fruit and Nut Trees forum - have a read through other posts first.
cherry tree oozing sap -what can I do I have read through most of the posts about cherry trees with oozing sap and although many of the pictures posted are similar to my tree, no one has actually given advice as to what to do about it. I even checked the references in Tree Fruit research center. Can anyone give me specific advice what to do about it ??
I had a similar questions. Here's a NM site with a good answer: http://www.cahe.nmsu.edu/ces/yard/2001/101301.html
