Hi, I have three cherry tomato plants that I started from seed growing in 10 in. clay pots. Lately the tomatoes have started to ripen, but I've noticed alot of them are starting to split. I thought this was due to over ripening on the vine, but when I cut them open they're green on the inside. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I used Miracle-gro soil and I fertilize weekly with Miracle-gro liquid tomato fertilizer.

Thin skinned varieties are more prone to splitting. According to Murphy's Law...the better tasting/"nicer" the tomato variety, the more it will split.

We grew Sweet Million once, and as advertised it was indeed resistant to splitting...but the tough skins made it unattractive so I guess there's just no pleasing us!
