I've been gone a while but wanted to post these pics I took at a garden here in oklahoma USA. alot of people think Japanese maples struggle here, and they can, but gardeners will always find a way.
    thanks

@dicky5ash , thank you, glad you like them.
Yes there is a big Shishigashira and some young airlayers, maybe I should mention the cultivars of all the trees I posted

Taimen nishiki looks like a good prospect for the future, that’s not readily available in the U.K.

Yes an in interesting cultivar I bought last year.
Don't know how things changed with the Brexit but I have a friend from UK that could order this cultivar from Guy Maillot in France, but they are not often available.
Maybe try your luck this spring?

Pretty good so far, it is actually in the cave to protect him from the cold as I repotted it last week.
I have to watch all the trees that I have there hoping they don't wake up too early but the freeze should only last this week so it should be ok.

Has anyone purchased Acer palmatum 'Mayday'? What a beautiful baby from Mikawa Yatsabusa parent, equal to Japanese princess IMO.

Good evening R, sadly no. Once again it's going to be a long wait. We will have to watch from afar as our US friends post them on the forum.

    Godd morning D,
That one is also on my wishlist but sadly, i don't think we are getting it in EU/UK anytime soon.
I agree that it is as beautiful as Japanese Princess.

Wow! Are they in a greenhouse or a protected area ? I know that Andalucia is much warmer than where I live, but that's very early indeed.

They are on the street, but during the day it is 21ºC and at night it does not drop below 6ºC.
