I just made a bunch of new flower beds, and now my cats think it is a big cat box...how can I keep them out of the beds? (I love my kitties) but they wreak havoc on my mulch

I've suggested this a couple times previously, but Liquid Fence has been great for me. I use it for squirrels and rabbits, but they also have a formula for dogs and cats. It smells terrible for the first 1 or so, but once it dries it is odorless.

Use some prickly mulch - prickly enough to make it uncomfortable for the cats to walk on, but not spiny enough to cause injury. Something like spruce needles should do.
