Hi, I could not find the name for my new acer palmatum on the added information tag. There is only 'acer palmatum' mentioned, but i don' t believe that this is a common. It has 7 lobed slightly toothed green leaves with red veins. Some leaves are half reddish which gives it a colorful look. The leaves are about 11/2 to 2" and are separated to half of their size. In the vertrees book i find some likeliness to Katsura, but i think it's some other sort. Can someone name it for me? Greeting Rainer
Yesterday a friend (professional gardener and acer-expert) told me it could be a ´Tatsuta´ Is this a possibility?
Its so hard to tell because it has a pretty standard green leaf. Its possible that it could be Osakazuki.....but i think it will be almost impossible (for me) to identify the tree with 100 percent certainty. Especially without observing it throughout its entire growing season.
